Creating a service configuration

1. Service Type

Select the type of service (e.g., Oil Change, Inspection, Maintenance, etc.).

2. Trigger Type

Choose how the service reminder should be triggered:

  • Odometer
  • Engine Hours
  • Server Time

3. Start

Defines when the first service reminder should trigger:

  • Odometer → Enter mileage (km/mi)
  • Engine Hours → Enter hours
  • Server Time → Select date and time

4. Period

Defines how often the service repeats:

  • Odometer → Distance interval (km/mi)
  • Engine Hours → Hour interval
  • Server Time → Number of days

⚙️ How It Works

🔹 Odometer Trigger

  • The service triggers when the vehicle reaches the Start mileage.
  • It then repeats every Period km/mi.

Example:

  • Current Odometer: 125,000
  • Next Oil Change: 128,000
  • Service Interval: 6,000 km

Enter:

  • Start: 128000
  • Period: 6000

The system will:

  • Trigger at 128,000
  • Then at 134,000
  • Then at 140,000
  • And continue repeating every 6,000 km

🔹 Engine Hours Trigger

  • Starts when engine hours reach the Start value.
  • Repeats every Period hours.

Example:

  • Start: 2,000 hours
  • Period: 500 hours

Triggers at:

  • 2,000
  • 2,500
  • 3,000
  • 3,500
  • etc.

🔹 Server Time Trigger

  • Starts at the selected date and time.
  • Repeats every Period days.

Example:

  • Start: March 1, 2026
  • Period: 90 days

Triggers every 90 days from the selected date.

✅ Summary

  • Start = First trigger point
  • Period = Repeat interval
  • Works automatically based on selected trigger type
  • Continues repeating until configuration is removed
